Before the BPL class, I create my own blog for other purpose. However, I have never done any entry on it since I have been so busy.
I like to create my own blog. But if it is homework, it is kind of difference. I did learn about others by the blogs. But it is not the most effective way. Actually, just a few people visit my blog since my name is at the end. People usually go from the top and ignore the rest of the people since they are busy.
I feel that the purpose of the professor is really great. It really achieve something, but not enough. I think the reason is that everyone is so busy. Most of the time, we just want to finish it as homework. We just want to get it over. We didn't really think so much... Also, some of the blog topics are very challenged. We need to do some research in order to write a good one.
I think, if we can create a blog for our class together, it may have different results. I like to post my comments on our professor's blog. I also like to talk about the others' comments and give different opinions. In this case, we have less work but we really take a time to think deeper. It's a quality time. It's worth. So,if we can all dicuss on these topics, it may have benefit us more. In this way, we may be able to communicate each other in a better way.
I like the blog, but i don't like it as homework. So, I believe I will continue my blog after this class. Also, I think I can make my blog better in the future since it is not homework that I must finish with a deadline. Also, I can write whatever I really want to write. I believe it will be much better.
After all, I like the blog. It helps me to achieve some of the goals of our professor, but it also gives me a lot of work. But, I believe I will continue blogging...

Unfortunately, I think you may be right about the name of your blog being at the bottom of the list, and getting few visitors, having a correlation. But nonetheless, I am eager to read your entry =).
I agree that thinking about the blog as homework is a bit difficult, since I never really thought blogs and deadlines would ever really have a connection. Doing blogs for homework changed my perspective about blogs, heh.
Like you said, doing research for some blog topics was necessary, especially when I had to comment on some blogs and I wasn't sure of what company they were talking about. I like the blogging idea, so I stick to it as a half blog/half homework type of entity.
And about my time management, I really don't manage my time too well. I work part time during the days, and go to school full time at night, and I am part of an active dance troupe AND I'm an officer of Club India @ Baruch College. I don't get sleep, but as long as I get my usual cup of coffee, I'm good to go!
If you choose to continue writing more in your blog (which I shall now check for!) I will definitely read and comment as I get time. I am glad to hear that you will be a visitor to mine as well. And after much consideration, I have decided to move you up to the top of the list of classmates on my blog, so people can see your blog as one of the first =). More visitors, success!

I can see your view that because it is consider as homework, that it forces people to do it to get it over with and not really take the time to think over the thoughts but do you believe that if the professor could extend the postings of the blog until the end of the semester, that would make it more interesting?
I think you have some great idea by suggesting that we as a class should create one single blog. This will work if the professor can post an entry every week and we just give comment on the related topic. That would be great.
